Deandra and Jeff

Geesh … I can’t believe I haven’t posted this super duper amazing wedding yet. Last month I shot this wedding with PortrayLife and was happy as a clam for the entire day. If Gary, my husband, and I decide to renew our vows, I could quite possibly copy this wedding. Well, use it as major inspiration at least ;-) Both Deandra and Jeff were charming, friendly and very down to earth. Jeff is a self proclaimed “mountain man”. I can’t believe how much detail they added to their wedding, most of which was done by them! They even brewed their own beer and made their own special labels for it (shown below). How cool is that?!? Enough chit chat, just have a look at the creativity brewing from these two amazing people …

Dan, Brook, Fiona, Zoe and Alex!

Dan and Brook are some of the greatest parents I have met. Both have worked with children since they began college and definitely have an understanding how little minds work that I wish I had. They are patient, hilarious and so loving! They adopted Fiona and Zoe several years ago and then got blessed with Alex just this last winter. This was the first time I met Alex and he was the happiest child with what I call smiley eyes. My husband also has smiley eyes. It’s something that is a special quality and can best be described by saying their eyes smile just as big as their regular smile. Not everyone has this quality and it’s something I love!!! I had such a great time with all of you, not to mention it really was the easiest shoot I’ve had with three small children EVER! You guys rock! Here are just a couple of my favorites!001

Ruby & Travis Are In L-O-V-E!

A couple of months ago, I received this phone call from a girl named Ruby. My first reaction was to smile because I LOVE that name (sign #1). Then, we got to talking and completely hit it off (sign#2)! We had so much in common and I couldn’t wait to meet her in person at her wedding site, the Inn At Rancho Santa Fe. After a quick drink, she showed me around the grounds, shared all of her visions for her wedding day and THAT’S when I realized that this girl has personality, spunk and style all in one (sign#3) … I hit the jackpot !!

I knew that we were going to have a great time working together and neither of us could wait to get started. So, the following week I finally got to meet Travis, who is just as nice as Ruby, although, a little quieter. He was such a trooper, going along with all of our ideas, doing whatever Ruby wanted for the entire day. GOOOooooOOO Trav!  They were genuinely happy together and got along so well. I know they are a perfect pair. I really cannot wait for their wedding. It’s going to be absolutely amazing to watch this couple share their I Do’s together and I feel so lucky to be there to capture all of it for them :-) Thanks for being so unbelievably amazing guys … you are gems!
