My Girls Turn 3 and 5
Oh, how the time goes by so quickly. I can’t believe that my girls are now 3 and 5. It really is one of the strangest phenomenons of life, this time thingy. And, it always seems to hit me at the oddest times, like when I’m doing the dishes and my 3 year old comes to ask me a simple question. I turn around expecting this short, poofy cheeked baby and wham, it hits me like a ton of bricks that my little poofy cheeked baby is slowly growing up. And those poofy cheeks aren’t as poofy as they once were. I know that I am supposed to be happy they are growing up to be independent and smart girls, but, I LOOOOOVE those poofy, squishy cheeks. At least with my second daughter, I am taking them in more because with my first daughter I never even knew they disappeared until one day I looked an old picture and realized they were gone … poof … just like that. So, I suppose it’s a blessing to at least have this second chance of enjoying the sweetness of a toddlers rounded face because I know that very soon, my 3 year old will be 5 and my 5 year old will be 7. These years are so priceless and I thank God everyday that I am able to raise my girls and capture all of their sweetness with my camera. Even though they are changing on a daily basis, I know that I can look back and enjoy those poofy cheeks anytime I want
