Baby Fynn | Temecula Newborn Photographer

Baby Fynn | 3 Weeks Old

Little Fynn … what a cutie pa-tootie! At only 3 weeks old, this guy seemed completely aware of everything that was going on around him. Fynn has two older brothers, Grant and Max, who adore him and want to hold him whenever possible. It was so cute to watch the three interact. I swear that Fynn knew who his brothers were and just wanted to be a part of the action already.  Here is a slideshow of the enitre shoot and here my picks from the session …

Molly+Jason | Orange County Engagement Photographer

Mountain High & Laguna Beach

When Molly asked me to do their engagement session, I was sooooo excited. You see, Molly and Jason moved from Long Beach to Denver, Colorado exactly one year ago, so not only was I excited to see them, but I knew that our session was going to be a blast! We had talked about many different ideas but we eventually landed the on this crazy idea of driving up to the mountains to capture the snowy essence of their new home. With that said, Molly and Jason also really wanted to have pictures at a beach down in Laguna where they have many memories and frequently talk about while they are in their new home. So, what do you think we did … that’s right, we drove up to the mountains and did a speedy shoot there, got back into the car, drove to Laguna in record time and got there with 5 minutes to spare before the sun set!!!! We definitely had some divine intervention going on, because we didn’t even leave the mountains until after 3:00pm. To actually make it to the beach, down in the heart of south Laguna, was pretty amazing. None of us could believe it and we all took advantage of it. What an amazing couple to spend the day with. Molly and Jason, I had a ball talking with you guys and I truly cannot wait to photograph your wedding next October! We will conquer Beaver Creek just as successfully as we conquered Southern California. Love you guys and thank you for making this happen!!!! Big GIANT XOXOXO’s …

Baby Smith | Newport Beach Baby Photographer

Smith and Hudson

3-1/2 Weeks Old

When I got the call from Gina that she wanted me to photograph her newborn, I was thrilled to do so. I knew that it would be a fun session with a beautiful little baby! Smith was just a doll. While she was a normal 3 week old who didn’t want to hang out naked, she was super mellow and let me snatch a couple of quick birthday suit shots. The rest of the time, Smith just wanted to be snug as a bug and swaddled. Now, let’s get to the name … Gina’s maiden name is Smith and so she and Rob decided to keep the name in the family. I think it’s just about one of the cutest names ever and if I was having another girl, I would seriously think about becoming a name stealer and use it :-) I LOVE THAT NAME!

When I arrived at their house, I was immediately greeted by their real first “daughter” Hudson. She’s a beautiful pint-sized terrier who had tons of personality. She was already competing with Smith for my attention and I must say it was hilarious!

Gina and Rob have a beautiful house down in Newport Beach, that was the perfect place for a little session with Smith. I took advantage of the white elegance that their house is lavished in. I think I could do a whole other blog post just on the decor of their house! Here are a few of my favorites and when you are done, check out this slideshow for more …

Meghan+Ryan | Long Beach Wedding Photographer

The Hamill’s | The Ebell Club of Long Beach

12.12.09

I met Meghan approximately 8  years ago when she first started working at RauxaDirect. We instantly got along and had a great time working together. When I left Rauxa to pursue my love of photography, she also began studying her passion for clothing design. After all this time, we have come full circle to having me photograph her wedding and I couldn’t be happier! Because Meghan always had such amazing style, I knew her wedding was going to be beautiful and she sure didn’t disappoint. What a gorgeous bride and her new hubby was just as handsome. A seriously beautiful couple with perfect style … ahhh … my dream wedding.

The day started out a little crazy with one of the biggest rain storms we have seen in a long time. As I was driving to the Hotel Maya, the rain decided to let up  and I thought we were going to be in the clear, but, mother nature had a different plan. As soon as we were getting ready to take our pictures, another endless cluster of clouds rolled in and decided our photo fate for us. We were destined to shoot our pictures inside of the hotel lobby. Now, lucky for all of us, the Hotel Maya has one of the coolest lobby’s I have ever seen with a great big window paned wall that allowed for plenty of perfect light. After the hotel, we headed over to the beautiful Ebell Club of Long Beach for the ceremony. The Ebell was one of the best run wedding sites I have been too. They get big kudos! Because Meghan and Ryan’s ceremony wasn’t until after sunset and they didn’t want to see each other before the wedding, we decided that we are going to do an extra session to capture some amazing shots of just the two of them in another few weeks. I cannot wait to take more pictures of these two! Meghan and Ryan - Thank you for everything.  You guys were so relaxed, fun and easy to take pictures of. Your wedding was absolutely breathtaking and I feel so honored to have shared in such a beautiful wedding!!!
