Darla & Josh | Orange County Wedding Photography

Encore Session in Downtown Tustin

Alice of Alice Hu Photography, invited me to join along on a very fun encore session for Darla and Josh. I was completely enamored with Darla and Josh from the get go. Not only are they a classically beautiful couple but they are genuinely nice, friendly and hilarious to boot! I had to stop from laughing at Josh’s jokes and Darla’s eye rolls (made at Josh) to get a steady shot. These are definitely my favorite type of sessions! Darla is a fellow creative junkie who is a specialist of stationary, creating the most beautiful wedding invitations through her business, Darla Marie Designs. Then, there’s Josh, who is a pop-violinist and soooo talented. This is one power couple if I ever saw one! Please check out their sites and give them some love!!!!! Oh and get this … while we were taking pictures of Darla by herself, we got to shoot while Josh played … yeah, it was pretty much perfect! Listening to beautiful, live music while capturing a gorgeous bride is as good as it gets in my book. Thank you for the amazing day Alice, Darla, Josh,  and Cindy Park (the talent behind the bouquet). XOXO

Tiny Prints Really Likes Me … | Orange County Photographer

Tiny Prints …

I was cruising through Tiny Prints today, looking through their announcements when low and behold I spotted a very familiar picture. They used one of my pictures for their new product sample! It was fun to just see it on the top of their home page … very fun! Here’s the card as a boy and as a girl. :-) So cute! For the record, the baby is a boy named Logan.

Happy Birthday Candy Land Style …

My Girls Turn 3 and 5

Oh, how the time goes by so quickly. I can’t believe that my girls are now 3 and 5. It really is one of the strangest phenomenons of life, this time thingy. And, it always seems to hit me at the oddest times, like when I’m doing the dishes and my 3 year old comes to ask me a simple question. I turn around expecting this short, poofy cheeked baby and wham, it hits me like a ton of bricks that my little poofy cheeked baby is slowly growing up. And those poofy cheeks aren’t as poofy as they once were. I know that I am supposed to be happy they are growing up to be independent and smart girls, but, I LOOOOOVE those poofy, squishy cheeks. At least with my second daughter, I am taking them in more because with my first daughter I never even knew they disappeared until one day I looked an old picture and realized they were gone … poof … just like that. So, I suppose it’s a blessing to at least have this second chance of enjoying the sweetness of a toddlers rounded face because I know that very soon, my 3 year old will be 5 and my 5 year old will be 7.  These years are so priceless and I thank God everyday that I am able to raise my girls and capture all of their sweetness with my camera. Even though they are changing on a daily basis, I know that I can look back and enjoy those poofy cheeks anytime I want :-)

Rose + David | Save The Date

Love this Save The Date idea …

I am so excited to shoot the wedding of Rose and David next June in New York! I know it’s going to be a complete blast because they are so much fun and by the looks of their save the date, I know they are creative! They definitely care about the details, and that always makes for a great wedding. David is a Scotch salesman who is from Scotland and moved out to New York to start selling the goods throughout the U.S. He gets to travel all over the place all the while selling the best Scotch … what a cool job!!!  It only makes sense that they got to use his fabulous Scotch for their save the dates. Love it!015
